Voluntary insurance of houses belonging to individuals

The State insurance organizations of Turkmenistan, the citizens of Turkmenistan who are insured persons, the foreigners permanently residing in Turkmenistan and the stateless persons enter into a contract of voluntary insurance of houses belonging to individuals. Objects of voluntary insurance are houses owned by individuals or built by them in their permanent residence and having walls and roofs (dwellings, gardening houses, transport houses, auxiliary and household houses). What we insure against?

Voluntary insurance of houses belonging to individuals is subject to loss or damage to them as a result of the following insurance events: - fire, lightning strike, explosion; - natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, landslides, mudflows), including unusual and dangerous, continuous heavy rains and heavy snowfall; - inundation, including: outages of heating, water supply and sewerage systems (including as a result of temperature drops), sudden rise in groundwater, outages of the fire system (other than those related to the ongoing service), this includes removing or relocating a house from the floodwaters to prevent the spread of fire or to relate to any accidental hazards specified in this section; - hijacking of flying objects or their parts and the hijacking of a vehicle; - abusive actions of third parties.

What to do in case of an insured event?

Notify the insurance organization immediately, but not later than 3 (three) business days.

Requirements for acquiring an insurance certificate

  • apply to the State Insurance Organization

  • the application must include the following documents:

    - copy of the document confirming the ownership of the house;
    - photos of the house;
    - passport copy.

Necessary documents for the payment of the sum insured?

  • insurance claim statement

  • photo of damaged or missing house

  • insurance certificate

  • document issued by the relevant authorities confirming the existence of an insurance event

  • insurance certificate

  • list of damaged or missing parts

  • information on the waste of the damaged or missing house (whether it was delivered to the place of delivery or the waste was destroyed)

  • calculation of the cost of repairing the damaged property compiled by the competent authorities
