The head of state got acquainted with the state of the subsidiary farms of the military and law enforcement agencies

On March 18, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the work carried out in the subsidiary plots of the military and law enforcement agencies of the country, the preparations for the mass greening campaign, which opens the spring season of tree planting.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the State Security Council Ch.Amanov, who arrived in the morning in a picturesque corner of the foothills of the Kopetdag, to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As you know, in accordance with the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, various agricultural crops and orchards are cultivated in the economic units of the military and law enforcement agencies of the country, and specially designated areas are being expanded.

Deputy Prime Minister Ch. Amanov presented the drawings of land plots allocated, according to the instructions of the head of state, to the military and law enforcement agencies for subsidiary farming, their detailed projects, and reported on the work carried out in this direction.

As noted, together with agricultural scientists and other specialists in the field of agriculture, the soil and climatic features of each specific area were studied, in accordance with which plant varieties were selected for the upcoming planting.

Samples of various varieties of apple, pear, quince, persimmon, plum, apricot, walnut, pistachios, olives and other fruit trees and shrubs, as well as types of drip irrigation systems, drawings of a reservoir for collecting water were presented to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for consideration.

Along with the projects, several types of finished products were presented, including fruits. Detailed information was given about what technique will be used to care for orchards and about the features of its use.

The President stressed that the nationwide landscaping program is of great importance in the context of environmental well-being and the creation of the most favorable conditions for the life of the people of Turkmenistan.

In this regard, it was noted that issues related to the formation of new forest zones near settlements, as well as increasing the efficiency of subsidiary farms of the country's military and law enforcement agencies, should remain in the center of constant attention, and gave specific instructions for further activities in this direction.

Then the President heard reports from the heads of military and law enforcement agencies on the work done in the respective subsidiary plots.

After listening to the reports, the President instructed to keep under control the development of subsidiary farms available in the military and law enforcement agencies of the country.

The Turkmen leader, addressing the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber S. Berdimuhamedov, instructed to study issues related to the mass cultivation and processing of crops such as sunflower, olive and sesame, which are necessary in the production of vegetable oils to meet the demand of the population.

And such a noble cause as planting trees, which plays an important role in the upbringing of the younger generation, contributes to an increase in the ecological culture of society and the preservation of the environment.

Then the President examined the young trees planted here. Each type of fruit tree is assigned certain areas. Various varieties of apple, pear, peach and plum grow here. Walnut, pistachio, olive and persimmon are also grown.

The head of state got acquainted with the irrigation systems, which are now widely used in agriculture, their characteristics and their importance for water conservation.

As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized, it is important to pay attention to the development of horticulture, viticulture, and vegetable growing, which, along with abundance of food, is of great importance for the formation of an ecologically healthy environment.

Another nationwide greening campaign in our country will take place this coming Saturday. Traditionally, the action is held on the eve of Novruz as a symbol of loyalty to the spiritual values of our ancestors.

The leaders of the military and law enforcement agencies expressed their gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the great attention to improving the power structures, and also assured that they would continue to make every effort to timely fulfill the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, noting the unique nature of this corner, ordered to keep in the center of constant attention the issues of efficient use of water resources and turning these places into a blooming garden. Having addressed specific instructions in this regard, the head of state left the scene.
